NORBERT SHIEH

is a director of photography whose work spans documentary, narrative, and experimental films. His cinematography tends toward the observational — drawn to texture, available light, and the kind of detail that rewards patience.

His credits include HACKED CIRCUIT (Sundance, MoMA, Rotterdam), PANDEMIC BREAD (BlackStar, Criterion Collection), PAPER MARRIAGE (Duplass Bros Prod.), SILENT RIVER (Cinequest, Paris International Award Winner), and GAMBARE SUEHIRO (Flaherty Seminar, LAAPFF). He shot six episodes of the Emmy-winning KCET documentary series LOST LA: Season 2

He has collaborated with directors Deborah Stratman, Zeinabu irene Davis, and Chris Chan Lee, among others, and his work as a cinematographer has screened at festivals and institutions internationally.
